0.55 mm thick RTC chips for low-voltage and portable applications

Intersil introduces a three tiny, very-thin real-time clock (RTC) products targeting low-voltage and portable applications.

The ISL12057 and ISL12058 measure 2mm x 2mm, and 0.55mm thick, these new 8-lead devices are 45% percent thinner than similar products, which offer enhanced ruggedness and durability in portable applications.

The ISL 12059 is ideal for equipments such as remote utility meters, copy/fax/scanner/printers, digital photo albums and such similar applications.

The two-wire I2C interface in the ISL12057/8/9 is used to simplify design-in and enhances ease of manufacturability.

The ISL12057/8/9 family of products is lead-free (RoHS-compliant), pin, and software-compatible with legacy devices for easy design-in.

Package: ISL12057 - 2mm x 2mm 8-lead µTDFN plastic
                  ISL12058 - 2mm x 2mm µTDFN, 3mm x 3mm TDFN, 8-lead MSOP and 8-lead SOIC.

Price: Each $0.92 in 1k pieces.
