Memory-card switches from Fairchild Semiconductor for mobile phone and portable apps

Fairchild Semiconductor has introduced two memory switches, the FSSD06 and FSSD07
that expand communication between peripherals such as Secure Digital (SD), Secure Digital I/O (SDIO) and Multimedia Card (MMC) to common processors. The FSSD06 and FSSD07 are suitable for cell phone, digital camera and portable applications.

The FSSD06 allows two peripherals to write/read to one processor and the FSSD07 allows two processors write/read to one peripheral, and their architecture includes the bi-directional data and command transfer capability for single high-voltage cards or dual-voltage supply cards and the clock path is a uni-directional buffer.

The FSSD06 and FSSD07 operating voltage ranges from 1.65V to 3.6V, with built-in voltage translation the host controllers can be equal to, greater than, or less than the peripheral card supply voltage, with 2µA of minimal power consumption. And also these two memory switches include 6pF (typical) low on capacitance and robust ESD protection (10kV HBM).

Package: compact 24-lead MLP (3.5 x 4.5mm), UMLP (2.5 x 3.4mm) package
