New user-configurable planar transformer for switchmode power supply from Vishay

Vishay has released its Sfernice PLAC 100, a new user-configurable planar transformer designed for switchmode power supply (SMPS), DC/DC converter applications, including flyback, forward, push-pull, and half-bridge converters.

The PLAC 100 with software supplied by Vishay that allows adapting the transformer to a wide range of applications by setting the power supply type and desired level of input voltage, output voltage, power, and frequency. Once these variables are entered, the software automatically determines the appropriate configuration and which outputs should be connected to obtain the best performance.

The Key features of PLAC 100 are,

End user configures the transformer by using a software supplied
Frequency range: 50 kHz to 400 kHz
Suitable for surface mount or through hole
High power up to 220 W
Compliant to RoHS directive 2002/95/EC

And the suggested applications include military, avionic, and medical systems.

Operating temperature range of - 55 °C to + 125 °C
