30 V, 0.99 mOhm MOSFET for servers/routers from Fairchild Semiconductor

Fairchild Semiconductor has introduced the FDMS7650, a 30V, 0.99 mOhm MOSFET that functions as a load switch or an ORing FET for servers, blade servers and routers. In server farms, these ORing FETs are used when many power supplies are arranged in parallel to share the load and delivers high efficiency because these FETs are continually on. The FDMS7650 is suitable for OringFET, Synchronous rectifier applications.

The FDMS7650 is a Power56 package MOSFET technology to break the 1mOhm barrier with a MAX RDS (ON) of 0.99mOhm and yields a low RDS (ON), total gate charge (QG) and miller charge (QGD) for high efficiency by minimizing conduction and switching losses. This 30V MOSFET can deliver the same total RDS (ON) with half the number of FETs.

Key features are,

Max rDS (on) = 0.99mOhm at VGS = 10 V, ID = 36 A
Max rDS (on) = 1.55mOhm at VGS = 4.5 V, ID = 32 A
Advanced package and silicon combination for low rDS (on) and high efficiency
MSL1 robust package design
100% UIL tested
RoHS compliant

Price: Each $0.95 for 1k pieces
Availability: Now in samples
