63-V solid tantalum chip capacitors from Vishay

Vishay has announced its extended TANTAMOUNT Hi-Rel COTS T83, low-ESR TR3, and 293D series of solid tantalum chip capacitors with 63-V ratings in D and E case sizes, the new T83, TR3, and 293D solve this long-standing issue by incorporating solid surface-mount tantalum capacitors into their +28-V power supply designs while fully complying with derating requirements. The suggested applications are airborne, sensor, industrial control and base stations.

The Hi-Rel COTS T83 series offers high-reliability screening options including Weibull grading, and surge current testing options in accordance with MIL-PRF-55365 in five case sizes. The devices are available in standard- and low-ESR versions.

The low-ESR TR3 series offers a high ripple current carrying capability, while the standard industrial grade 293D is optical character recognition qualified. The TR3 and 293D capacitors are each offered in six case sizes.

The TANTAMOUNT tantalum capacitor family offers an input operating voltage range from 4 V to 63 V, operating temperature range of - 55 °C to + 85 °C, + 125 °C with voltage derating. Compatible with high-volume automatic pick-and-place equipment, the capacitors feature standard RoHS-compliant tin terminations, with Sn/Pb terminations.
