Fingerprint solution for notebooks/netbooks from AuthenTec
AuthenTec has introduced a smart sensor hardware and software
solutions for new notebooks/netbooks.
"Our new and complete hardware, software and packaging
solution underscores our commitment to consumer notebooks
and the high-growth netbook segment of the PC market,"

The advantages of AES1660 sensor include functionality,
biometric performance, low-power consumption, multiple packaging
and form factor options, and low bill of materials (BOM)
cost.

Multiple battery-friendly operating modes
Internal current limiter, voltage regulator and clock generator
Supports USB2.0 full speed host and SPI Flash memory interfaces

New, highly durable black coating with matching bezel
AuthenTec has unveiled its new TrueSuite client application
software application that simplifies the fingerprint enrollment
process by touch capability to enable one-touch access and
supports a variety of operating systems and is optimized
for Windows 7 OS with extended support for WBF.

support of the Windows Biometric Framework on Windows 7.
We believe that offerings which leverage the Windows Biometric
Framework, like TrueSuite, will enhance the user experience
