Vishay's new 1 Amp, 200 Volt ultrafast rectifier

Vishay Intertechnology introduced a new series of low-profile, surface-mount 1-A rectifiers with a 100-V to 200-V voltage range and ultrafast 25-ns reverse recovery time for high-frequency applications.

The MUH1Px series offers a choice of 100-V (MUH1PB), 150-V (MUH1PC), and 200-V (MUH1PD) reverse voltage ratings. The MUH1PD is the first 1-A, 200-V ultrafast rectifier in a super miniature package.

The new rectifiers are offered in an eSMP series MicroSMP package with footprint dimensions of just 2.3 mm by 1.2 mm and a profile of 0.65 mm. The devices compact size saves space in secondary rectifiers and freewheeling diodes for ac-to-dc and dc-to-dc converters, battery chargers, and portable consumer electronics.

The MUH1Px rectifiers feature a high average forward current of 1 A, forward surge capability of 10 A, low forward voltage drop, and low leakage current of 1 µA. The devices offer an oxide planar chip junction and are ideal for automated placement.

The new rectifiers feature a rugged maximum junction temperature of + 175 °C and an MSL moisture sensitivity level of 1. The devices are compliant to RoHS directive 2002/95/EC and WEEE 2002/96/EC, and are halogen-free according to IEC 61249-2-21.
