2:2VGA crossover switch for switchable-graphics apps

Maxim has released the MAX14885E, a complete 2:2 VGA crossover switch to improve switchable-graphics applications. This device routes signals from the internal VGA or add-in graphics chip to either the docking station or the VGA port on the notebook. MAX14885E provides high bandwidth (up to 700MHz) due to its low 6.5pf (typ) on-capacitance and 5 ohms on-resistance. This device provides ESD protection of ±15kV (Human Body Model, or HBM).

MAX14885E offers complete VGA crosspoint solution with separate control signals to independently select groups of switches. The architecture integrates both high-frequency and low-frequency circuitry, including DDC signal routing and horizontal/vertical sync buffering for glitch-free switching. Operating from a single 5.0V supply, MAX14885E is specified over the -40°C to +85°C extended temperature range.

Package: 5mm x 5mm, 40-pin TQFN

Price: Starts at US$1.32
