Multicore processor chips and software from LSI for enterprise IT infrastructure

LSI is offering a set of multicore chips and the software support for developing computers for enterprise networks and data center infrastructure. The set of devices include Axxia Communication Processors, StarPro SP2700 media processor family, LSI Tarari Content and Security Processors, Link Communication Processor (LCP), and APP3100 multicore communication processors.

"The anytime, anywhere access requirements of data center and enterprise networks requires an architecture that can dynamically support voice, video and data," said Lucinda Borovick, research vice president, Data Center Networks, IDC. "A unified multicore architecture portfolio specifically designed for enterprise and data center applications will help manufacturers deliver solutions faster and drive down cost and performance through higher levels of integration."
