IEI Technology has made a 5.7 Inch LCD display with embedded computer for shopping kiosks. The IMK-571R MiniKiosk is suitable for slim front-end information access and customer interaction for retail shops and malls and also for any such public places. Customers can check the product and service information through multimedia interface and get a real-time promotion message after scanning the product barcode or using the convenient touch panel interface.

IMK-571R features RMI Alchemy AU1250 500MHz CPU, 2MB NOR flash and 256 MB DDR2 memory. This embedded computer supports miniSD card. The display is a 5.7 Inch TFT touch panel LCD with LED backlighting. It operates on Window CE 5.0 software and has built in remote desktop connection.

The connection options available include Power over Ethernet, WiFi, RS232, and USB.

IMK-571R supports most popular video and audio types (MPEG1/2/4, DivX and WMV9). The 2GB miniSD storage card can hold all the video and other media content. For streaming media, wired and wireless connectivity allows updates and realtime data access. The IMK-571R offers a web-based remote control tool to manage settings, data, multimedia content and applications.

The IMK-571R software development kit (SDK) includes the most useful functions and comprehensive demonstration source code and documentation for most web application develop environments.
